Iowa, are you a harbinger of shame or an oracle of change?
Are you a soothsayer, a mystic, a clairvoyant or a
fortuneteller who cheats the client. It used to be as “Maine goes, so goes the
nation,” maybe not so anymore, even though Maine is not in the Iowa equation. The
question is, is it “as Iowa goes, so goes the nation?”
This post blog will post early in the morning, long after
the Iowa caucuses have closed and the pundits have awarded the accolades and
ribbons. I slept through the count and analysis. But my question remains; are we, as a nation, willing to embrace
the consequences?
