Life Elsewhere?

We are so insignificant!

I watched a NOVA program that used the Kepler telescope to search for planets that could sustain the major elements that on earth give life: Hydrogen, Oxygen, Nitrogen and I can’t remember the last one.

Anyway…the prospect of life elsewhere in the universe, from a science perspective, is phenomenal. The prospect of life from various religious perspectives ranges from not possible to suspect.

From a spiritual perspective, “Why not!” Could not the Almighty, The Source, The All That is, create the conditions that give life the ability to express Divine love in any condition? That works for me.

Are we so arrogant to even think that we are the only expressions of divinity within an immense universe?

In this time of a duel calendar celebration of Passover and Easter, it seems fitting that so many of us should think about these things.

If you don’t want to think about that and maybe give it some energy of understanding, think about ISIS, global warming, prejudice, partisanship and Congress.
