Good Grief!

"And now, in an interview with ABC News' Barbara Walters, Sarah Palin "says she is seriously considering a run for the White House, and she believes she could beat President Obama in 2012."

The interview will run on Dec. 9 as part of Walters' "10 Most Fascinating People" of 2010.

I read this and I could not believe it.

She is a nice person, a good Mom, a fine spouse, a governor, a candidate for Veep. SHE IS NOT OF PRESIDENTIAL CALIBER. I am concerned that celebrity arrogance will catapult an unqualified into a candidacy that would deny a rightful recipient of the nomination and therefore deny America a leadership with discernment, intellect and experience.

GOOD GRIEF!

I believe Sarah Palin could beat the current President by a landfall. Does that mean she is qualified, well is he? If I were to think that he represents America he would lose; if I were to think she represents America she would win.

Most people (the average person) wants someone who they can relate to and feels they are understanding of what the people want before setting their own agenda and not bending from it even if the people do not like it.

I do believe there are many more people out there that could do a great job as President. I wish that they would take the chance and use their skills, i.e., people, compation, US history, world history, constitutional knowledge, legal knowledge, diplomacy, humility and the ability to know when and where to use them to keep our government running strong.

What is a shame is that it is not a matter of qualifications but a matter of what the electorate can identify with. In this case, we are in deep trouble.
