How to campaign in Alaska

Democrat Senator Mark Begich of Alaska hasn’t really done much for Alaska in his five years in the Senate.

Usually the Alaskan delegation in Congress pass bills to get federal money into the state for various projects. Some of them are beneficial and some are a waste of money. Remember the 320-million dollar bridge to nowhere.

In five years the only bill Senator Begich got passed was the renaming of a courthouse in Anchorage.
So what his campaign pledge as a democrat in a red state?

He campaigns as a thorn in President Obama’s side.

Politics has sure changed.

The polls and pundits say his seat is up for grabs. No wonder he’s jabbing at his party’s president.
