I'm
singing the lyrics now...
"First
you say you will, then you say you won't...you will, you won't, you do, you don't.”
OK, I've
stopped singing the lyrics to that old tune about being undecided.
The DNC,
Democratic National Committee, promised early on that they would regularly release
the names of their big money donors, but two days ago they said they wouldn’t release the names until after their convention in
Charlotte.
Why? I
don’t know. Send them an email and
ask them. The chairperson is Debbie Wasserman Schultz. They will probably tell
you that the donors don’t need to be identified until
October 15th when federal disclosure documents are supposed to be
filed. So much for an open peoples convention as promised.
I wonder
if anyone on the DNC has looked up the meaning of transparency. You can’t call for the republicans to reveal their contributors and
not do so for democrat contributors.
When are
we going to get tired of broken promises and pledges? When are we going to hold all political officials, candidates and our already elected representatives to
their stated or promised word?
I’m not even going to mention
the junkets our representatives go on at taxpayer expense and get to swim nude
in the Sea of Galilee.
Until we
demand accountability we will get nothing but expedient promises, empty pledges
and congress as usual.
