This whole Chick-fil-A thing is out of hand. The company’s president Dan Cathy has a right to say and believe anything he chooses. He’s against same-sex marriage. So be it.
Whether you are against gay marriage or for it it doesn’t matter for each of our beliefs has the right of personal expression and all exprssions are protected by the first amendment of our constitution.
As long as Mr. Cathy’s beliefs are not incorporated into his company’s policies he can believe what he wants and say what he wants. Otherwise a whole plethora of laws protect the public from diverse and divergent company policies that may be discriminatory in hiring or serving patrons.
This whole controversy is not news. It’s inflammatory rhetoric and we need to get over it.
It seems to me that if people want to protest something worthwhile how about protesting a do-nothing Congress.
Once again they've left town with so much left undone.
