Homeward Spring

“The time has come the Walrus said
To talk of many things.”
Of heading home where oven’s bread
Is like the Eastern spring.
For me, my roam, and time away,
And journey cross the plain,
Was more for warmth, but I can’t stay
Where heat’s a daily gain.
So now I head to Eastern shore
To see the Tulip’s spring.
Remembering the sound and more
Of peepers birthing ring.
Spring comes with joy to those of us
Who honor species far.
Each prides their place with knowing trust
Despite a winter’s scar.
This is a time to be aware
Of powered place and phrase.
Each spring’s a grace and lasting prayer;
A loving light ablaze.
