I’ve been writing about hunger and hunger related diseases
for a number of years.
I continue to be appalled and disturbed at the unnecessary
number of human beings who are hungry on a daily basis.
A recent report from the United Nations Food and Agriculture
Organization says that 1.3 billion tons of food are wasted or lost every year.
That’s about a third of the planet’s food production each year.
Here’s the coup d’état. The UN organization estimates that
870 million people go hungry every day.
So many of them are children.
