Here is a headline from the New York Times yesterday.
Firing at Man in Times Square, Police Wound Two Bystanders
This is unacceptable. These two police officers need
significant retraining.
The man, according to the newspaper article was not armed,
but acting consistently crazy.
It seems to me you do not fire a weapon in a crowded area
like Times Square if you are not being fired upon.
Fortunately the two bystanders were only wounded. One in the
leg and the other a graze wound to the buttocks.
There could have been two innocent deaths because of the callous
disregard of pedestrian safety by these police officers.
I think I see lawsuits in the police departments future.
