The dichotomy of principle between the Pope’s message and
evidence of simplicity and the action of a young former hedge fund manager who
bought a pharmaceutical company and raised the cost of an aids drug from $13.50
a tablet to$750.00 dollars tablet overnight is both abhorrent and descriptive of
the current American business ethic.
The drug is called Daraprim. It helps aids patients treat a
life-threatening parasitic infection.
The man who bought the company and the rights to the drug is
MARTIN SHKRELI.
GREED will be the downfall of humankind. It is a worm in the
solid wooden foundation of Democracy.
We need to think of the WHOLE, not the profit.
