Awakening Light

Come see the dawn
breach through the night
With morning streaks
of laughing light.
A joy it is to hear
the sound
Of waking silence
all around.
My ears can hear the
silent star
Emblazoned light
from place afar.
It moves unhurried
bringing dawn
Till all the dark is
finally gone.
There is a time when
day’s begun,
A moment, soft and
halcyon,
A sacred spell that
does redeem,
A blessing from the
Source supreme.
The heart is held by
joy of morn,
It’s there for all
from moment born,
A gentle bright,
mauve, opaline
Awakening our light
within.
So stand at East
when night is done
To welcome home the
rising sun,
Bequeathing all a
hallowed ray
