In a small way you can.
NASA is sponsoring a Haikau contest. Three winners will be
chosen and have their poems inscribed on a disc that will be aboard the MAVEN
explorer spacecraft that will reach the red planet sometime in the next couple
of years. Its purpose is to study Solar Winds on the planet and speculate why Mars lost it atmosphere.
The traditional poetic Haiku has three lines.
The first line has five syllables.
The second line has seven syllables.
The third line had five syllables.
I like the idea. It’s idle fun.
Here’s my submission:
“Martian Solar Winds
MAVEN gathering data
Maybe breath again.”
