Where do these people come from?
Republican Texas State Representative Steve Toth plans to
introduce legislation that would arrest and prosecute any federal law officer that tries to
enforce any new gun safety law in Texas.
Mr. Toth knows his bill called the Firearms Protection Act
is unconstitutional, but that doesn’t matter.
In his thinking the Constitution itself needs to be
undermined particularly the Supremacy Clause. A clause that affirms that
federal laws, “shall be the supreme law of the land.”
I know that Texas has a history of rebellion,
but that was then and this is now. We are the United States of America, not the
Lone Star State of Texas.
Some of my good friends live in Texas and I know them to be
solid American citizens, but still there is movement in that state to succeed from
the union. It’s been rejected by federal officials, but it persists.
I guess my opening question is answered.
Texas!
And then this morning I saw the NRA's new television advertisement.
They accuse the President of being an “elitist” and a “hypocrite” because he opposes posting armed guards at schools, while his daughters have Secret Service protection.
OMG! Where do THESE people come from? Shame on the NRA.
