It is a short post this morning, but it is troublesome. It is indicative of a current belief within some segments of our society. I am doubly disturbed because it comes from the military I honor and support.
I subscribe to a magazine called, “The Week.” It is a compendium of happenings in the world with succinct analysis and it often has a few one-paragraph events that give one pause to think.
Here is one of them - verbatim.
“A Pentagon employee leaked an internal anti-terrorism training exam that included the question: ‘Which of the following is an example of low-level terrorism?’ The correct answer was “protests”.
“Protesting,” gathering, the right of assembly has been a principle of democracy since the beginning. It is a guarantee within the very first amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
IT IS NOT A FORM OF LOW-LEVEL TERRORISM! It is a basic right that began at Breeds Hill in Boston and continues throughout our history even unto the shame of Kent State.
Somebody better tell that to the underling who wrote the alleged exam and to the officer who approved it.

Wow, thanks for the post and it is both sad and appalling that the previous administration encouraged such and environment where a protest is considered an example of low level terrorism. Thank you for your website and blog, as always I find the information that you post both informative and challenging. Enjoy your weekend
Thank you for this most important post. We must be vigilant against misinformation that "sneaks" in under the radar until it is widely accepted.
Thank you again,
Barbara
